South African Qualifier 1 — a record-breaking start

Three new school records, a 9-dart finish in the U14 bracket, and a coach who'd been throwing for forty years describing it as 'the cleanest league weekend I've ever run.'

The first South African qualifier of the season delivered three new school records, a 9-dart leg in the U14 bracket, and the most balanced final-day points spread we've ever seen. Twelve schools sent rosters; six players advanced through to Level 5 evaluations.

The stand-out moment came in the U14 final, where the eventual winner closed out a 121 with two darts at the bullseye in front of a packed venue. The coach team estimated the conversion at three percent — a throw you mostly only see at adult opens.

Full standings, level-by-level points, and per-school summaries are on the leaderboard. Photos and recap clips will be posted to the Highlights page through the week. Massive thanks to the host school and the parent volunteers who kept scoring moving across all three boards.
